Arriving in the Happy Hall area the students are organizing their things (backpacks, lunches and putting on indoor shoes) then proceed to washing their hands, then to the classroom where circle time takes place. 

Welcoming Circle is to recognize each child as a member of the community, to welcome them back to the community each day, and to provide a platform to share what they value or want to express at the start of their joining. MORE

EDUCATION EXPLORATION (FREE CHOICE)
Children move about the classroom on their own in the prepared environment that has been meticulously organized for them.  They may move about the classroom choosing the materials that interest them.  They may work in groups or choose to work alone.  There are two teachers in the environment at all times.  One teacher is usually presenting to a group of children or helping one child and the other teacher is floating in the environment.  If a child seeks direction, then it is given.

SECOND CIRCLE | STORY TIME

OUTDOOR EXPLORATION | DISMISAL

This time of day takes place in the Heartwood Room.  Most of the time, this is a 30 minute story telling block. The story will relate to the curriculum, theme, message or interpersonal lesson. Special requests from students are welcomed and accommodated. Second Circle also is a time where we might introduce dramatic play.

The last period of each day, weather permitting, is spent outside. Although throughout the day, we may utilize the outdoor classrooms, this period is for students to explore the abundant opportunities available to them
and satisfy their curiosity.
